Simply beautiful, photojournalistic, documentary wedding photography My aim when I’m behind the camera is to tell stories and not take boring photos. My photographic journey started back in 1998 shooting 35mm monochrome film in high school. That’s when my fascination for story-telling through the still image began. Fast forward to the digital era and my fascination and appreciation is still growing. I’m a street photographer at heart, so observing life and people through the lens within the context of urban life has played a big part in how I approach wedding photography today. I live in Sydney and work all across NSW. I’ll occasionally follow couples across state borders too (restrictions permitting) depending where their story takes them… I’ve been a wedding photographer for 7 years. During my time as a wedding photographer I’ve met countless wonderful people and attended awesome weddings. My work allows me to see incredible places, meet great people, to travel and I get to photograph it all for others to see. For many, a wedding day can be up there as one of the most meaningful, exciting, emotion-filled days of a person’s life. Documenting a couple’s wedding day journey is an absolute privilege. The way I see my job is that I’m present at your wedding to capture the details, the people, the emotions and the spirit of your wedding day, and via a finished collection of images, tell the story of who you are as a couple and what your wedding day meant to you both. That’s a responsibility I love and will never take for granted. So my approach for the most part is always to capture what happened and what it meant without influencing things. Most couples will wish to have some standard group shots and portrait shots taken as well which I enjoy capturing, for the most part however, my approach will be reportage. Over time I’ve found that many couples love photography but don’t feel like having a ‘photoshoot’ on their wedding day. There’s enough going on without having photography dominate a day they’d rather spend close to loved ones and the people they cherish. Documentary or reportage wedding photography is all about telling the story of your wedding day as it happens in a photojournalistic manner. That’s me. My approach is discreet and unobtrusive without taking over your day and my style is completely candid. It’s how I love to work because I feel it’s important that when you re-live your big day through the images I’ve created, you’re inclined to say to one another “Do you remember when that happened?”, as opposed to “Do you remember when the photographer made that happen?”. This means I like to get close to the action without being intrusive or staging any shots the way traditional wedding photographers tend to. Pricing-  I don’t have a variety of packages as my process is always the same- to gather all the images and audio I’ll need to creative a narrative of your wedding day. My service starts at $600 for two hours with $200 charged per additional hour. Otherwise my standard fee to capture your full day without any time limits is $2600 (or $3000 with a second shooter). My service includes: – A meeting to get to know you and hear your wedding plans and ideas – Up to 12 hours of photography coverage. – A 3-4 minute photo film which is essentially a video made up of key images captured backed by music and audio that I’ll also capture throughout the day (vows, speeches). – Approximately half a dozen finished images the day after your wedding so that you have some nice pictures to make your announcements with. – No limits on image count. I’m all about building a beautiful and honest narrative of your wedding day, regardless how many shots that involves. A finished album of about 400 – 500 or so images is typical for a 10-12 hour day. – All images provided in full resolution without watermarks within four weeks of your big day. – Travel within Greater Sydney. Photo books/albums or prints are optional extras, giving you the freedom to choose your own products. Should you decide to engage a bookmaker or fine print specialist once you’ve received your images, I’ll gladly work with them on your behalf to ensure they receive your files in the colour space and formats that best suit your chosen paper stock and their particular inks and printing equipment. We loved having Jeremy and Tori shoot our wedding day, and Jeremy for a pre-wedding shoot in a bar. From the initial pre-meeting all the way through, Jeremy’s professional, calm and relaxed nature is definitely what this bride needed – particularly during the wedding morning preparations and the big post-ceremony group shot. I didn’t even notice them during the ceremony (which is a good thing!) It was a long day with an equally long ‘must-have’ shot list, and Jeremy and Tori had great energy, ideas and versatility throughout the prep, ceremony, tea ceremony, lunch, site shoots, reception AND after-party. It didn’t feel like they had a cookie cutter approach to shots and they were always proactive and about. It was nice to receive some teaser photos a few days straight after the wedding too, before the full set of high res ones via USB. Thanks Jeremy & Tori!
